Dr. James Louie, UCLA Professor Emeritus, will be chronicling the lives and art of these painters, showing how they took charge of their diseases, engaged with their physicians who offered the available therapies of their time, and continued to express their feelings despite the progressive damage sustained from rheumatoid arthritis.
